Ask a kid about the first day of school and they'll tell you about the backpack. The one they picked. The folders that match. The lunchbox nobody else has yet.
Ask their parent and you'll get a different answer— the cost of it all. For a family that's stretched, back to school can feel like a bill with a deadline.
So we take the whole thing off the table.
Every August, we open up the parking lot of ZA Lawyer’s Montebello office to hand out over 300 backpacks packed with school supplies, offer free first-day haircuts from licensed barbers and throw a back to school party for the kids!
Through our partners at Celebration Nation, we also send families home with a bag of groceries because school clothes, supplies, and groceries all come out of the same paycheck.
Kids leave excited. Parents leave lighter. That's the whole design.
